Hello and welcome to this week’s online weekly newsletter!
Sunday Online Workshop July 11, 2021, 12-3 pm
“When we look at our experience of being an individual it is not monolithic. Phrases such as “a part of me feels…” indicate that we all have different facets or parts of our jewel. Understanding our inner society of perspectives unlocks the possibility of greater understanding and intimacy with our own and others’ behaviors. In terms of committing to our spiritual path, it is essential that the whole person is driving the car, otherwise we find our motivation is fractured and at odds with itself.”

Recorded Maitri and Compassion Practice
I’m excited to share an audio recording of my assistant, Janet, leading our online sangha’s Maitri and Compassion practice on Saturday morning. I am so proud and so grateful to each of them for carving out the time every week to dissolve the barriers between self and other!
Ecology of the Heart – New Series On the Blog
Over the past month, I’ve been sharing a series of posts on Ecology of the Heart. In the world of people who practice meditation already, we have such a possibility of being humble beacons for a culture of caring for our planet and being part of that network that goes well beyond whichever community we might think we affiliate with or are a part of. We’re all a part of one giant community. This series is an exploration of how we might begin to do that.
Ecology of the Heart Part 7 is on the blog! Check it out! Share it with a friend or on social media! Stay tuned for Part 8!

How is your meditation practice going? What is coming up for you as you practice? What obstacles are you encountering? Where would you like to feel more confident?

Reflection
From The 37 Practices of a Bodhisattva Verse 1, which members of our Online Sangha discussed on Sunday morning.
You might use the words as the object of meditation for a few moments, noticing what other words, images, sensations arise. When you feel ready let the words and images and sensations go, and just rest in whatever has arisen for you.
And last but not least, a MINDFUL MOMENT to take with you into your day…
Take good care and see you next week!
